2there is a blog started by two avid travelers to share with folks their thoughts and images as they experience them. 2there is intended to be an open forum and a collecting point for sharing. Feel free to share.

WHO IS 2THERE?

When Kaire was a child in Soviet occupied Estonia, she and her friends weren’t able to get their hands on much of what kids in other parts of the world take for granted. An empty chocolate bar wrapper was a treat to be savored because even after the candy was gone, the smell of the candy, and of far away places, remained long after. Kaire knew even then that she was going to travel the world. As soon as she could, she moved to Tallinn, the Estonian capital; then to Sweden; then to the United States; and now to Dubai. Dubai has been a great location to launch off to other parts of the world as often as possible. She has recently just visited her 40th new country.

Ed grew up in the North Eastern part of the United States. The world was unfathomably large, strange, chaotic, and unusual. Family driving trips to Florida complete with homemade pecan and fruit stands; firework shops and truck stops; and the buzzing sounds of insects and neon signs of highway motels inspired his need to explore and travel. Since then he has lived in New York and Dubai, and has traveled to somewhere between 40 and 50 countries.
